IND vs PAK: Former CSK Player trolls the Indian captain
Former India batsman Subramaniam Badrinath poked fun at India's captain Rohit Sharma after Sharma's dismissal in the Asia Cup 2023 match against Pakistan in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Shortly after a rain delay, Pakistan's left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed Rohit Sharma in the fifth over. As a consequence of the exceptional movement of Afridi's delivery upon impact with the pitch, Sharma's stumps were knocked over. Rohit scored 11 runs off 22 deliveries, with two boundaries.
In response to Rohit's dismissal, Badrinath uploaded a photo to the social media platform 'X' that depicted a scene from the Tamil film 'Chennai 600028' in which a key batsman from the protagonist's team is bowled out without comprehending how the ball moved through the air. Notably, the batter in the photo is defeated by a much younger bowler, as the protagonist's squad engages in a 'bet match' with schoolchildren after blackmailing them.

How has Subramaniam Badrinath played for India?
Well, looking at his stint with the National Team, Badrinath, who debuted for India in 2008, had a brief international career, accumulating 79 runs in seven ODIs with a 15.80 batting average and a 45.0% strike rate. He also participated in two Tests, scoring 63 runs in three innings for an average of 21. In addition, Badrinath made a single T20I appearance for India, scoring 43 runs at a strike rate of 116.21.
In his previous two ODIs against Pakistan, Rohit Sharma had scored a century. However, he was unable to have a significant influence in this match as India scored 266 runs. Unfortunately, rain prevented the second inning from taking place, halting the baseball contest. Team India is set to face Nepal in their next Asia Cup encounter on September 4, 2023. The Rohit Sharma-led side needs to draw or win in order to qualify for the ‘Super Four’ of the competition.
