Australia Cricketers Pick Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal to Shine as India’s Next ‘Generational Superstar’
Australia stars were asked to name an Indian cricketer they believe will be the next generation superstar. Most of them said Yashasvi Jaiswal will be the one.
With the Border-Gavaskar Trophy closing in soon, the hype for the iconic test series has been palpable. Team India and Australia will lock horns for the coveted title, with the Men in Blue being the defending champions. The Rohit Sharma -led side will be determined to defend their title, but they will be in a hostile environment as it will be an away series for the side. India's case has been strong as they will gear up for a test-heavy schedule. Ahead of the much-awaited series, top Australia cricketers elected one cricketer as the next big thing for India, and most of them elected Yashasvi Jaiswal's name.

Australia Stars Steve Smith, Starc, & More Heap Laurels Over Yashasvi Jaiswal as India’s Next Big Superstar
While speaking to Star Sports, Australian cricketers like Nathan Lyon, Alex Carey, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and more were asked to name-drop one India Cricketer who will be the superstar of the next generation. Most of the Aussie cricketers named Yashasvi Jaiswal as the Men in Blue's biggest sensation in the future.
Steve Smith showered his praise on Jaiswal, saying that "Jaiswal could be a generational superstar." Mitchell Starc also said the same thing and elected Yashasvi. "Jaiswal's probably the next big superstar, I think," Starc expressed. Even Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and Alex Carey had the same sentiments as they backed the young Team India opener as the biggest upstart for the Men in Blue. Hazlewood deemed Jaiswal as 'a proper cricketer for all formats.'

But Australia all-rounder Cameron Green and opener Travis Head believes that Shubman Gill will be India's biggest cricketer down the road. Green praised Gill's style and ability, while Head applauded his knack for dominating pace and spin while making bowling look slow.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to be a part of the Men in Blue when Team India will face their biggest challenges in Australia as they try to keep their case for the World Test Championship Final in 2025. The Aussies will pose genuine threat to India's momentum as they gear up for the summit clash at Lord's. Before that, India will be in action against Bangladesh and New Zealand at home.
