Australia's Ashton Agar takes a rocket on the head, left bloody-faced

Australia has produced a lot of cricketers who have gone on to bring laurels for the country on numerous occasions. The country has also produced some of the finest all-rounders who have made a tremendous impact on the international arena and one of them is Ashton Agar. Ashton Agar has been handy with both bat and ball whenever he has got a chance to represent the national side. After all, who can forget that match-winning knock that he had played against India at Mohali earlier this year where the Aussies chased down a mammoth target of 360? Meanwhile, Agar was recently left bloodied while trying to attempt a catch.

Ashton Agar attempts to take a catch, gets it horribly wrong

It happened in a Marsh One Day Cup match between Western Australia and South Australia at the Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide. During the second innings of South Australia's run chase, Ashton's younger brother Wes had attempted a big shot on the second delivery of the 41st over bowled by Marcus Stoinis as Ashton Agar attempted a catch at mid-on. Unfortunately for him, the ball struck him between the eyes and he was left bloody-faced. This was because he had slipped while going for the catch and he completely lost his balance while judging the ball. The all-rounder's forehead was profusely bleeding while his younger sibling Wes ran towards him to check him. Meanwhile, Western Australian pacer Jhye Richardson called for medical assistance without further delay. Agar was then seen walking off the field with a towel on his forehead as the medical staff accompanied him. Western Australia register a thrilling win

Western Australia were bundled out for 252 in the final over after being sent into bat by South Australia. Cameron Green top-scored for them with a 78-ball 86 at a strike rate of 110.26 including six boundaries and three maximums. In reply, SA lost half their side for 76 and were starring down the barrel at 190/9 but a 56-run stand for the last wicket between Wes Agar and Callum Ferguson gave WA a huge scare before Ferguson was trapped in front of the wicket by Jhye Richardson to hand Western Australia a 6-run win.
