BCCI Announces India's Squad For 1st Test Against Bangladesh, RCB Star Gets Maiden India Call Up

IND vs BAN 1st Test: India will host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series. These Tests will be crucial to India's hopes of playing the World Test Championship finals. India are due to play ten Test matches and the five of them will be home games. India play two Test matches against Bangladesh and three against New Zealand before they jet off to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India played their last Test series against England in February-March earlier this year

Bangladesh Look To Extend Winning Streak

Bangladesh have been in a piping hot form off late. They recently drubbed Pakistan and handed them a series defeat of 2-0. This was historic in many ways as this was Bangladesh 's first series victory on Pakistan soil. As far as India are concerned, they had hosted England in a five-match Test series earlier this year and had defeated them by 4-1.

As far India's Test squad is concerned, the star Indian triplet of Rohit Sharma , Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah return. Rohit has returned as the captain of the side. The most important inclusion is that of Rishabh Pant who coincidentally played his last Test match against Bangladesh , before his horrific accident in December 2022. Pant will now don the Indian Test whites and take the field against Bangladesh after his miraculous recovery.
