Virat Kohli Clinches Historic Feat During IND vs NZ Bengaluru Test, Joins An Elite Club
Virat Kohli has etched his name in the historic book of records in the game of cricket as Team India faces off against New Zealand at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The right-handed batter produced a fighting fifty and also completed the milestone of reaching 9000 runs in Test Cricket. He is now the only fourth Indian cricketer to secure the iconic feat.
The star-India batter has been going through an inconsistent run, irrespective of the format he plays. Be it the Bangladesh Tests or the Sri Lanka T20Is, he has failed to contribute to the team by putting in the runs. Kohli made his return to red-ball cricket in the two-match series against the Bangla Tigers. Against New Zealand, Virat was dismissed for a duck, but he gained form in the second innings. The half century reignites he momentum which team India currently needs against New Zealand after the horrifying start they had while batting first in Bengaluru.

Interestingly, it took Kohli more than 2.5 years to reach the 9000-run milestone after he scored his first 8,000 runs in March 2022.
