Rohit Sharma and most of the senior players have taken time off since winning the trophy at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. He was rested for the recent T20 series against Zimbabwe and is expected to miss the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka later this month. However, the Indian captain has stated that he will continue to play Test and One-Day International cricket for the foreseeable future following his T20 World Cup victory.
"I just said it. I don't look that far ahead. So clearly, you will be seeing me play at least for a while," the 37-year-old said at an event on Sunday night in Dallas.

It was pivotal for the Indian Cricket Team to win the T20 World Cup as they are now able to re-assert their dominance in the global circuit of cricket.
After 159 matches and 4231 runs, Rohit finished his career in the T20Is, having amassed five tons and thirty-two half-centuries.
