CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025: ICC FORCES PCB to Accept 'Hybrid' Model to Accommodate India - REPORT
Speculations are still rife over India's participation in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Will Pakistan and PCB accept the 'hybrid' model?
Speculations are still rife over India's participation in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Will Pakistan and PCB accept the 'hybrid' model? A report claims that the ICC is trying to convince PCB to accept the ‘hybrid’ model. The Champions Trophy would be in Pakistan, but there is still uncertainty over India's participation. For the unversed, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed to the ICC that they would not travel to Pakistan for the mega event. Most realise that India's participation is necessary for the success of the tournament. Pakistan has been informed of the financial impact if India withdraw from the event. It would be interesting to see what happens.
CT 25 SCHEDULE
As per reports, the ICC is set to announce the schedule this week.
Meanwhile, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi addressed the press on Monday and made it clear that Pakistan is not going to agree to the ‘hybrid’ model.
‘We will remove them (India)’
"If India has any concerns about sending their team to Pakistan they must talk to us and we will remove them. I don't think there is any reason for India not to come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy," PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi told reporters on Monday.
“Pakistan's respect is first and foremost. Rest, you will see what happens. Our stance is very clear; we have made it clear in the past,” Naqvi said.
"Every other team that has qualified for the Champions Trophy is ready to come. No one has any concern," he added.
