The first Test of the four-match series between India and Australia is scheduled to be played in Nagpur on February 9. The second match will be played in Delhi, followed by Dharamsala and Ahmedabad. India and Australia will also play a three-match ODI series after the conclusion of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India are currently the defending champions courtesy of their 2-1 win in Australia in 2020-2021.
Both sides have already announced their respective squads for the series. Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian side with KL Rahul as his deputy. Suryakumar Yadav has also been added to the squad thanks to his impactful performances in white-ball cricket last year. Suryakumar is expected to get some match time in the series as Shreyas Iyer is unlikely to play because of injury concerns.
