The West Indies ace player Chris Gayle talks about his IPL career. Gayle played a crucial role in the West Indies teams that won the 2004 ICC champions trophy, 2012 ICC World T20, and 2016 World T20. The West Indian Player talks about his affection and love for RCB while speaking to Robin Utthapa on the talk show ‘Home of Heroes’.

As he talks about his diet and routine and how sticking to a certain discipline helped him in his career. Chris while reminding about the 2013 IPL talked about the 175-run knock against the Pune Warriors. He then went on to proclaim that he set the standards, and jokingly said he should always have been given the strike.

Gayle Recalls Meeting His Favourite Fan

While walking down to memory lane Gayle narrated a story about how he broke a fan's nose and when he got to know about it, he rushed to the hospital and the fan whispered “Please hit more sixes.” Gayle’s description of the incident led to him saying that RCB fans are the best in the IPL. “RCB is one of the best fanbases I’ve experienced". He also mentioned that when the Chinnaswamy stadium started chanting RCB …then he felt that it was the biggest reward of his life.

The  tenure Gayle enjoyed with RCB established him as an IPL legend and he said that fans still recognize him for his time there. Despite his stints in Punjab and Kolkata, Gayle will forever be linked to RCB for some of the greatest individual batting performances put up in the tournament’s history. In the interview, Gayle also revealed that Rohit Sharma is his favorite batsman.

At the end of the conversation, when asked about the best bowler he faced. He said, “He has not been born yet”. According to him every bowler is best and every player wants to unleash the best out  of him when he is on the field.

I am still waiting for the best one to bowl  me.” The conversation wrapped up with a few more questions which saw Chris talk about his jovial and funny nature and how many tattoos he has.
