On September 19, 2007, in the inaugural edition of World T20, India's dynamic middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh made a statement and enthralled the fan with his sensational batting performance. The left-hand batsman had scored 58 of just 16 balls, which also included 6 sixes in an over of England's Stuart Broad.
More than a decade after that incident, Broad is still mocked for that incident. But in a rare turn of events, the star Englishman has trolled himself.
The England Cricket Board, on their official Instagram handle, praised youngster Sam Curran for his exploits with the bat. Their caption read, "Ever seen someone smash six sixes before they hit their first four? 💪"
It was then followed by a hilarious reply by Broad. The right-arm fast bowler answered to the question by replying, "@yuvisofficial ? 😂🤷♂️"
Yuvraj was batting on 14 of 6 balls in the 19th over when Broad came out to bowl. In an extraordinary turn of events, the left-handed batsman hit sixes from each of his six deliveries, managing to get a maximum of 36 runs from the over. His onslaught also saw him becoming the fastest batsman to a fifty in T20 cricket.
His exploits in that match, as well as the tournament helped India lift the inaugural T20 title. They had beaten Pakistan in the final.
