‘Every Single Point Is Crucial’: Cameron Green Shares Insights on the Significance of the BGT Series
All-rounder Cameron Green emphasized the significance of the forthcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy Test Series between India and Australia.
One of India's biggest challenges will be up against Australia when they lock horns at the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins will be put to the Test as the red-ball series is critical for both sides. With the WTC Final spot on the line, India will aim for glory and defend their title win while Australia looks for glory at home. Ahead of the much-awaited tournament, Cameron Green opens up on the importance of the BGT series and also reflected on the rivalry.

AUS All-Rounder Cameron Green Signifies the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series’ Importance
During his appearance on the Star Sports broadcast, Australia all-rounder Cameron Green highlighted the importance of the upcoming India vs Australia Border Gavaskar Trophy. Green offered his take on the iconic rivalry and how it would be impactful to keep their case strong in the World Test Championships.
"Yeah, I think it's always an amazing rivalry and I think lots of things come out of the tournament every single time we go versus each other. So yeah, I'm sure this series won't be any less. So yeah, looking forward to it.
"Every single point is pretty crucial for the World Test Championship. Any way you can kind of get an idea of how to get one up on your opponent, I think we'll try and take," Cameron Green said.
In the past two occasions, Team India has been successful against Australia, be it in home conditions or down under. This time, the environment is going to be a hostile one for the Men in Blue as the competition will take place in various venues throughout Australia.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is scheduled to start on November 22 at Optus Stadium in Perth. The thrilling day-night format will be used in the second Test, which is slated to take place at Adelaide Oval from December 6 to 10. Following that, supporters will focus on The Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test, which is scheduled for December 14–18. The series will reach its penultimate stage with the traditional Boxing Day Test, scheduled for December 26 to 30 at the MCG in Melbourne. The fifth and final Test will take place at the SCG in Sydney from January 3 to January 7.
