India on Thursday defeated South Africa by 7 wickets to win the second Test match in Cape Town and level the series 1-1. After going down in the first Test match, India needed a win in the second and final encounter in order to deny the home side yet another series victory. Indian bowlers performed beautifully in the second Test to help India register their first-ever win at the venue.

Former cricketers react to India's win

Former Indian cricketers including the likes of Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina have reacted to India's Test match victory in South Africa. India beat South Africa by 7 wickets in the 2nd Test match that lasted for only two days. This is also the shortest Test match ever played in terms of balls bowled. 

India bowled South Africa out for a mere 55 runs in the first innings and then posted 153 runs. South Africa came back strong in their second innings, hitting 176 runs with Aiden Markram securing a century. India needed 79 runs to win the match and they did it in style. A total of 23 wickets fell on Day 1 of the match. 

After India registered the victory and created history, former cricketers took to social media to react.
