India vs Pakistan is a game that has soared to a stature where the entire cricket world awaits for this epic showdown between the arch-rivals. Before the schedule announcement of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, the IND vs. PAK game was expected to be one of the fixtures, and indeed the anticipated encounter got October 15, 2023, as the official date, with Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, chosen as the official venue. India vs Pakistan to take place on October 14, 2023

The India vs. Pakistan round-robin game of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will now take place on October 14, 2023, at the same venue, i.e., the Narendra Modi Stadium. As October is the month of festivities in India, and with the carnival of cricket happening at the same time, therefore, security arrangements will scatter. Hence concerns have emanated. Subsequently, reports emerged that the Ahmedabad Police have requested a change in the date of the high-octane India vs. Pakistan match because coincidently the match falls on the first day of Navaratri. 

BCCI secretary Jay Shah chaired a meeting where the request of the police department was considered. Moreover, the members in the meeting noted the requests of several other bodies as well as of 3 full member ICC nations. Upon taking everything into account the appeal of rescheduling was complied and India vs. Pakistan match is now scheduled for October 14, 2023.
