From hitting rock bottom after a forgetful season at the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Mumbai Indians (MI) captain to shining bright as India's last-over hero at the T20 World Cup, allrounder Hardik Pandya has garnered massive attention. Then to make things worse, he also went through a divorce with Natasa Stankovic. Now, Hardik seems to be back in the news again. A tweet from a random fan claims that Hardik has unfollowed India's premier batter and his teammate Virat Kohli on Instagram. But, how much of it is actually true?

After spotting the tweet, we checked Hardik's Instagram profile to find out if he has really unfollowed Kohli. To our surprise, we saw that Hardik still follows Kohli and the tweet is absolutely fake. Even during India's T20 World Cup campaign, fans witnessed the bromance between the two cricketers. And hence, the tweet was startling. Here is the much-talked about tweet.

What Lies Ahead For Kohli And Hardik?

Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see if Hardik is retained by MI at the mega auction or not. He had a horrid time as MI captain in 2024. Mumbai became the first team to be out of the playoff race. On the other hand, Kohli would in all probability continue with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli recently featured in the India vs Sri Lanka ODIs. Despite Kohli's best efforts, the results did not favour India as they lost the series 2-0.

The two top Indian cricketers would in all probability be part of the Champions Trophy next year. Reports suggest that Rohit Sharma, who has retired from T20I cricket, would lead the side in CT 2025. Both Kohli and Hardik would be key to India's fortunes in the marquee event.
