Fans Overjoyed As Ravichandran Ashwin Scores All Important Fifty In First Test Against Bangladesh

The first test match between India and Bangladesh kicked off today with India batting first against the visitors at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. As India batted first it saw a mixed batting performance as opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a 56 to give India a good start. All around Jaiswal, India witnessed a falling of wickets in quick succession as Indian captain Rohit Sharma departed for just six runs. He was followed by Virat Kohli who too was dismissed at six runs. Young Indian batter Shubhman Gill was dismissed for a duck. 

It seemed like a failure for India's batting order until Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja came to the rescue. 

Ashwin Hits The Important Fifty 

As the pressure fell on Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, the two legends of Indian cricket stood tall against the Bangladesh attack. Ravichandran Ashwin scored an all-important fifty for India which helped stabilize the innings a bit towards India's side.

As Ashwin completed his fifty for India, fans were overjoyed seeing the milestone which could be a saviour for India in this match.

How Things Stand Right Now? 

Due to the brilliant batting and the partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, India managed to take control of the match away from Bangladesh . As Jadeja and Ashwin both completed their fifties, India is now nearing 300 runs and has 3 more batters to come after Ashwin and Jadeja.
