‘Feels Like a Rebirth’: Varun Chakravarthy Thrilled After Return to Team India After Three Year Wait

The India vs Bangladesh T20I saw the return of Varun Chakravarthy make his return for the Indian Cricket Team. The spin bowler got a chance for revival under the Gautam Gambhir - Suryakumar Yadav era, and he made proper use to establish his dominance in the game. At the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, the cricketer delivered a good spell on his return to the India Blue after three years. Team India was utterly spectacular against Bangladesh in the 1st T20I match, and Chakravarthy was one of the game's positives. The enigmatic spinner expressed delight upon his comeback.

Varun Chakravarthy Delighted on Team India Comeback After Three Years

In the post-match interview after India defeated Bangladesh in the 1st T20I, Varun Chakravarthy voiced his satisfaction with making a return to the Indian Cricket Team, saying it felt like a rebirth on making a comeback. The 33-year-old cricket player also stated that he is more concerned with performing well instead of thinking about what will happen in the future.

"After three long years, it was definitely emotional for me. Feels nice to be back in the Blues. It feels like a rebirth. I just want to stick to the process. That's what I have been following in the IPL as well.

"I don't want to go beyond what's there. I just want to stay in the present. After the IPL , I played a few tournaments, and one of those was the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). It's a very good tournament with a high standard," Varun Chakravarthy said.

Chakravarthy stated that despite his absence from the national team, he kept going and was eventually able to mount a comeback. The spinner also said that his primary goal was to remain in disagreement for a place on the Indian team.

Varun Chakravarthy was in action in the India vs Bangladesh match, securing three wickets and conceding 31 runs during his four-over outing. The enigmatic spinner is expected to be a part of the men in Blue when they will lock horns against the Bangla Tigers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
