It's a very common sight to see Indian cricketers play football during their free time. Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are regarded to be avid followers of the beautiful game.
The Indian cricketers are also known to meet their favorite football payers. Most recently, Indian batsmen, KL Rahul had the privilege of meeting a footballer who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of the current generation.
Making the most of his deserved break, KL Rahul met France's World Cup hero and Chelsea's midfield menace, Ngolo Kante. During this meeting, both sportsmen discussed the various aspects of both games.
KL Rahul posted a video of his interaction with the midfielder, where the Frenchman appears to be unhappy upon finding out that the Indian was not a fan of the Blues. Rahul wrote - We spoke about his World Cup Experience, how he started off and made his way up here. He wasn’t really happy that I ain’t a Chelsea fan though. 😁
Really Humble Guy. Respect!
Sitting at the heart of the midfield, Ngolo Kante was instrumental in France's World Cup success. In reference to his immense work rate, N'golo Kante is been widely dubbed by his fans as the man who covers 30 percent of Earth (with 70% being covered by water). Interestingly, his team-mates have also lauded his efforts by composing a song in a tribute to his efforts.
While N'golo Kante is enjoying a great start to life under Maurizio Sarri, KL Rahul will look to build on his performance after missing out on his century in the match that saw the Indian cricket team claw their way back into the five-match Test series after an all-round show to hand England a crushing defeat in the third Test match at Trent Bridge.
The series now stands 2-1 in favor of the hosts making it an interesting affair for the remaining two Tests. The Indian cricket team will be looking to carry the momentum heading into the third Test match, which is slated to get underway on August 30 at Southampton.
