Former chief selector bats for Rinku Singh, wants team management to give him long rope

After registering a narrow win in the first IND vs IRE T20I match, the Indian cricket team was sent into bat in the second match of the series by Ireland. Match 1 of the series was called off due to rain, and the Indian team being two runs ahead of the DLS par score while chasing down 140 runs, ended up on the winning side. The match was also special for Indian batter Rinku Singh, as he made his international debut after an excellent IPL season.

First India vs Ireland T20I match was very special for young players like Rinku Singh and Prasidh Krishna, as they made their T20I debut for the Indian team. Where Prasidh, came back from an injury and has already represented India in the ODIs, Rinku received a maiden Team India call-up on the basis of his IPL 2023 performance. The KKR finisher played a total of 14 games for his team in the IPL 2023 and scored 474 runs at a strike rate of 149.53. His most rememberable innings was an unbeaten 48-run knock against Gujarat Titans, wherein, he hit five sixes to Titans pacer Yash Dayal in the last over and won his team the match out of an unwinnable situation.

Kiran More's sincere urge to Indan management on Rinku Singh 

Former Indian cricket team batter Kiran More while speaking on Jio Cinema during the pre-match show of the IND vs IRE second T20I match, has urged the Indian team management to give at least ten matches to Rinku Singh in the Indian team. The former wicketkeeper further stated that he is very eager to watch Rinku bat in the Indian lineup. More said: 

Give Rinku Singh a run of 10 matches in the Indian team. Rinku Singh can be a long term batter at No. 6 for India. 

Indian team batter Rinku Singh was not able to bat in the first IND vs IRE T20I match as the match was called off due to rain in the seventh over of the Indian innings. Team India had lost two wickets for a score of 47 runs till then, and Rinku didn't get a chance to bat in the first match.
