Gautam Gambhir will take over as head coach of Team India this month. The post will be given to Gambhir when India's tour of Zimbabwe is over. Gambhir was named the new coach on July 9, and his initial assignment will be to lead the team in a series against Sri Lanka. Gautam Gambhir is likely to be victorious with the Indian cricket team, which just won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 under Rahul Dravid.

Gautam Gambhir anticipates Morne Morkel to be the bowling coach of the Indian cricket team: Reports
One of the potential candidates for the India bowling coach is Morne Morkel. On the wish list of Gautam Gambhir is the former fast bowler from South Africa who offers a lot of coaching knowledge. Previously mentoring Pakistan during the ODI World Cup in India, Morkel resigned his post before his contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ran out.
As to a report by Cricbuzz, GG has purportedly requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to seriously consider Morkel for the position. Morkel has preliminary talks with the BCCI having participated 86 Tests, 117 ODIs, and 44 T20Is between 2006 and 2018. Now living in Australia, Morkel has established a solid reputation as a top coach in both international and IPL environments.
Working together at the Lucknow Super Giants IPL squad, where Gambhir was a mentor and Morkel was the bowling coach, Gambhir and Morkel have a track record of harmony. Morkel carried on under fresh head coach Justin Langer after Gambhir transferred to the Kolkata Knight Riders and Andy Flower joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Morkel, 39, is current with the newest gaming strategies, having retired just in 2018. Known for preferring to deal with familiar faces, Gambhir is eager to have Morkel on his coaching staff.
Lakshmipathy Balaji, Vinay Kumar, and possibly Zaheer Khan are potential candidates for the position as bowling coach. Given Morkel's small family and the great distance involved in the employment, the BCCI is expected to decide quickly. According to Cricbuzz, Morkel and his two kids reside in Seaforth, a suburb of northern Sydney, with his wife, Roz Kelly.
If officially appointed, Morkel would replace Paras Mhambrey, who has excelled in the post under head coach Rahul Dravid over the past three years. Among Gambhir's proposals are also Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate; the BCCI is thinking about keeping fielding coach T Dilip from Dravid's team.
