Responding to the question, Gautam Gambhir said that he says what he feels is right and asked the individual to think about who benefits from the controversies, taking an indirect hit at the media. Gambhir believes that the media deliberately churns out controversies from his statements to make stories.

Meanwhile, Gambhir also took out time to answer some positive questions on X. One fan asked him how it feels to see people eating meals at just Rs. 1 a plate at the ‘Jan Rasoi’ community kitchen in Delhi run by his foundation. “That’s why I do what I do & I can deal with everything to continue doing that!” Gambhir said in his response.

Another fan asked about the secret behind his sharp memory, to which Gambhir said that he follows a healthy diet and doesn't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes.
