Former Team India coach affirms Gambhir will be the man coaching India in the future, claims he will take time to settle in
During an appearance with Star Sports, former India captain Anil Kumble supported Gautam Gambhir, stating that the KKR coach is undoubtedly capable of succeeding as the head coach of the Indian cricket team once Rahul Dravid steps down. However, Kumble feels that Gambhir would take some time to get used to the position because he has never been the head coach of a professional cricket club.
"You will have to give him (Gambhir) time. He certainly is capable. We have seen Gautam handle teams. He has been a captain for India for his franchise. He has all the credentials to be that. But Indian team coaching is slightly different. So you will have to give him time to settle in," Anil Kumble told Star Sports.
