Finally some good news for India before ODI WC, India's biggest match-winner to return
After the tour of the West Indies, the Indian cricket team will face Ireland in a three-match T20I series beginning from August 18, 2023.

The last few months have been very challenging for the Indian cricket team as they have been playing without the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant. These players have been away from international cricket due to their respective injuries. All of them are currently going through their rehabilitation period at the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru.

Jasprit Bumrah's probable comeback date
Some good news for Indian cricket fans has emerged ahead of the T20I series against Ireland, as renowned pacer Jasprit Bumrah is expected to return. As per a report by ESPNcricinfo, Bumrah is expected to lead the Indian pace attack against the Irish cricket team, as he could be picked for the three-match T20I series beginning from August 18, 2023.

Jasprit Bumrah underwent back surgery in March this year and has not competed for the Indian cricket team since September 2022. As per the original timeline shared by the medical officers of the NCA in Bengaluru, Bumrah was expected to return in the Asia Cup 2023.

If Bumrah represents the Indian Cricket Team in the Ireland tour, it would be his second stint. The last time the bowler played an international T20I series on the Irish land was in the year 2018.

The Indian cricket team's upcoming tour of Ireland will be their third in the last five years. Team India faced solid competition from the Irish team in the 2022 series. The tour to Ireland will also be a good Test for Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the all-important Asia Cup and Cricket World Cup 2023. Bumrah has been an important player for the Men in Blue, and with Mohammed Shami expected to return, the team will have their two best fast bowlers for the two major global events.
