Biopic on Hardik Pandya's life coming soon? Rohit Shetty drops a hint
Hardik Pandya faced intense criticism and booing from fans, including those of his own IPL team, Mumbai Indians , after he was made captain instead of Rohit Sharma last season. However, he silenced his critics with an impressive performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, helping India win the tournament.
Rohit Shetty highlighted the dramatic arc of Hardik Pandya's journey, saying, "Hardik's last one year has been like cinematic. He was booed, trolled, and then came a time when he won the World Cup. And then the same people were cheering for him when his name came up. It's like a cinema. That one year has been like a film for him. Like a character who rises and then falls. Falls in such a way that 10,000-20,000 people are booing him in the stadium. And then in the same stadium, when he comes back, people are cheering for him and he's crying. That's cinema."
While Rohit Shetty didn't explicitly confirm a biopic on Hardik Pandya's life, his words have sparked speculation about a potential film based on the cricketer's journey.
