Good to see Prithvi Shaw scoring runs rightaway. And Dinesh Karthik scoring runs in T20 cricket again. He always does.

Prithvi Shaw announces comeback in style
One of India's youngest openers Prithvi Shaw slammed a half-century on his return to cricket in T20 against Assam in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Sunday. Prithvi Shaw's comeback to the field after an eight-month ban was very much anticipated as the young batsman himself revealed that the fans would see a Prithvi Shaw 2.0 on his return to cricket. The sensational Mumbai lad, who became eligible to play again from November 17, scored 63 runs off 39 deliveries laced with seven fours and two sixes. With his comeback to the domestic side, Prithvi Shaw will be eyeing a recall to the Indian side, an opportunity that he would like to grab before the T20 World Cup in Australia next year.

Prithvi Shaw's anti-doping violation
Shaw's doping test had taken place on February 22 in Indore and his sample tested positive for Terbutaline which is on WADA's list of prohibited substances. He was charged under the BCCI's anti-doping rules on July 16, 2019, and responded by admitting the violation but asserted that it was inadvertent as it has resulted from him taking an over-the-counter medication for his cough. His eight-month period of ineligibility was deemed to have begun on March 16, 2019, and will run till November 15.
