Harsha Bhogle’s interesting insight into Virat’s double century
The landmarks flow for Virat Kohli. Like a champion batsman he breaks a 10 innings century drought with a double. And, something that is becoming noteworthy for him, without a single six! Most doubles by an Indian now and the small matter of 7000 test runs.

India's domination on Day two
Resuming his innings on Day two, skipper Virat Kohli played a magnificent knock en route to 250 runs and received good support from Ravindra Jadeja on the other end. Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for 59 runs following which the Indian skipper stepped on the accelerator and quickly went from scoring a 100 to a 200 and finally a 250 which included 33 fours and two sixes. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja narrowly missed out on his century by just nine runs as he fell prey to South Africa's Senuran Muthuswamy. Skipper Virat Kohli was hailed as a selfless skipper by the fans for declaring the innings at the fall of Jadeja's wicket instead of pursuing his maiden score of 300 runs as there were still 18 overs left for the day. Virat Kohli's latest knock take his Test tally to 7054 runs, averaging 55.11 with seven double-hundreds to his name. Virat Kohli also broke Australian legend Don Bradman's record of scoring the most number of 150-run knocks as a captain as he registered the ninth 150-run score of his career as opposed to Bradman's eight.
