Team India scripted history at the Kensington Oval in Barbados by defeating South Africa in the finals of ICC Men's T20 World Cup
Rohit Sharma-led Team India emerged victorious against South Africa in the finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. This was India's second title across all the editions of the T20 World Cup. The 'men in blue' defeated Proteas men by 7 runs and clinched the World Cup for the second time in 17 years. This victory also ended India's 11-years old ICC title drought. This victory also marked Rohit Sharma's last game as India's T20I captain and Rahul Dravid's last game as Team India's head coach.

India's Historic Run In 2024 T20 World Cup
Team played 8 matches in the recently concluded T20 World Cup and ended up winning all of them. India is the only team to have won the T20 World Cup undefeated. Rohit Sharma too scripted his own set of cricketing milestones. Sharma became the only cricketer to win the T20 World Cup both as a player and as a captain. This victory in Barbados also marked Rohit Sharma's 50th win as India's T20I captain.
