IND vs AUS 2nd ODI: Shubman Gill's stupendous 2023 continues, slams 6th ODI ton

Team India batter Shubman Gill completed his fifth century in the year 2023 in the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI which was his second in the last four ODI matches.

Indian cricket team batter Shubman Gill continued his dream performance with the bat in the second IND vs AUS ODI match and hit yet another century. Gill was the highest run scorer in the 2023 Asia Cup and scored 302 runs from six matches. This also included a ton against Bangladesh but was not able to take the team over the line. Gill missed out on a century in the first India vs Australia ODI match and was dismissed for a score of 74 runs.

Shubman Gill hits sixth ODI century in IND vs AUS 2nd ODI match 

After being sent into bat first by the Australian cricket team, Indian opener Shubman Gill took the opportunity with both hands and scored his sixth ODI ton. Shubman reached his century in 92 balls and hit a single off Australia pacer Sean Abbott. This was Shubman's fifth ODI hundred in the year 2023 and will hope to continue his brilliant performance in the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup.

Iyer-Gill brings Team India back after an early blow

The Indian cricket team lost an early wicket in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad for a score of 16 runs. The Aussies had a chance to put the pressure on the hosts and take two to three more wickets, however, Shreyas Iyer (105) and Shubman Gill had other plans. The duo added 200 runs off 164 balls for the second wicket and now have put the Indian team in a commanding position in the second IND vs AUS ODI match.
