IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma's India hammered Steve Smith's Australia in the semi-finals and knocked them out of the ICC Champions Trophy. India have now qualified for three consecutive Champions Trophy Finals. India defeated Australia by six wickets in the semi-final of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma is eyeing his second consecutive ICC Trophy. Skipper Sharma can also become the second Indian captain to win an ICC Champions Trophy after MS Dhoni who won the coveted silverware for India back in 2013.
India qualifying for the Champions Trophy final is nothing but another insult to Pakistan's injury. The PCB in the past had been extremely adamant about hosting the entire Champions Trophy in Pakistan, but they did not have any concrete answers or solutions to the state of terrorism in their country. Pakistan, despite being the host of the Champions Trophy were eliminated from the group stage. This is a testament to the sad state of affairs in Pakistan, even as a cricketing nation.

Champions Trophy 2025 Final To Be Played In Dubai
India's historic win over Steve Smith's Australia in the semi-final of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy might have left the Pakistan Cricket Board red-faced. As per the International Cricket Council's mandate, the Champions Trophy is being played in a 'Hybrid Model' and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has been bestowed with the responsibility of hosting India's matches in Dubai. The ICC had instructed that the summit clash of the Champions Trophy will be played in Dubai if Inia qualify.

Pakistan's biggest nightmare has come true and India have stormed into the finals of the Champions Trophy. India will now face either New Zealand or South Africa in the finals which will be played in Dubai on March 9, 2025.

Rohit Sharma Eyes Second Consecutive ICC Trophy
Rohit Sharma led India to a perfect World T20 win in 2024. India were unbeaten in that ICC event and they are all set to replicate the same feat in the ongoing Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma who arguably is in the last phase of his career is on the cusp of winning his second ICC Trophy as the skipper of Team India.
