IND vs AUS: Jasprit Bumrah is out for the 2nd ODI match

The second One-Day international between India and Australia will not feature Jasprit Bumrah, who left the team to reportedly meet his family. The Indian cricket governing body, the BCCI, has given him a short break, which he will use to spend with his loved ones. While Bumrah is out, Mukesh Kumar will be taking his spot in the team.

According to the BCCI, Bumrah will be back with the Men in Blue for the last ODI against Pat Cummins's side. Jasprit took one wicket in the first ODI, which India won by five wickets and took place in Mohali.

The right-arm seamer's absence from the Asia Cup 2023 match against Nepal was particularly notable, as he had to be in the hospital when his wife, Sanjana Ganeshan, gave birth to their first child. Later on, India went on to lift the trophy, beating Sri Lanka in the final by 10 wickets.
