India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs in the first Test of the two-match Test series in Indore on Saturday, November 16. This was India's fourth Test win on a trot in the home season.
India continues its dominance in Tests
The hosts did not take much time to wrap up the visitors' second innings after tea on Day 3. Umesh Yadav got rid of Mehidy Hasan on the fifth delivery after tea for 38. Tajiul Islam joined Mushifiqur Rahim in the middle and showed some resistance but Shami was too good for the tailender as his 43-ball stay came to an end.
Soon after Ravichandran Ashwin bamboozled Rahim with his spin, the Bangladesh wicket-keeper tried to loft one but ended up slicing it towards mid-off to Cheteshwar Pujara. His gritty innings of 64 came to an end with that shot.

Ashwin wrapped up the visitors' innings by grabbing the last wicket of Ebadat Hossain, who miscued one to Yadav in his attempt to clear the boundary. India registered a mammoth victory which has helped them take an unassailable lead in the ICC World Test Championship Points Table and continue their domination in Test cricket.
