With the game slipping away from India's grasp, Kohli seemed to have gotten agitated at the umpire for not taking action against Tom Latham running on pitch.
Ind vs NZ: With the game slipping away from India's grasp, Kohli seemed to have gotten agitated at the umpire for not taking action against Tom Latham running on pitch. The incident took place on Friday - which is day two of the ongoing Pune Test. A Ravindra Jadeja delivery was edged by Latham which went past Rohit Sharma at first slip for a boundary and just after that - the Kiwi captain was walking near the danger zone of the pitch to speak to the non-striker. Kohli spotted this and brought it to the umpire's notice immediately. Kohli realises India have to bat last on this strip and he does not want the pitch to get any worse.

DAY 2 AS IT HAPPENED
On a wicket that was helping spinners with the ball keeping low, the Indian batters lacked application and sound judgement. And it was these mistakes that saw the team stare at an enormous task of reducing the deficit and staying in the contest.
Resuming Day 2 at 16/1, India lost six wickets for 91 runs in the first session.
Kohli's wicket came as the biggest shock in the 24th over when their he missed a low full-toss from Mitchell Santner (4/36) only to be cleaned up for a nine-ball 1. Glenn Philips also picked up two wickets.
And once Kohli perished, India kept on losing wickets - one after the other - as Santner ran through the batting order.
