IND vs PAK T20 WC: Asha Sobhana Drops Dolly, Finds Redemption Through Richa Ghosh's Spectacular Take

In the ongoing India-W vs Pakistan -W T20 World Cup 2024 match taking place at the Dubai International Stadium, Asha Sobhana of India dropped an absolute sitter to give Pakistan 's Fatima Sana a breather. It was a thickish outside edge that went slowly towards Sobhana, who was stationed at the short third-man position, she had all the time to grab it but made a meal of it. Fatima Sana was batting at 1 at that moment, the dropped catch gave her the opportunity to add more runs.

Asha Sobhana Drops a Dolly Later Picks The Wicket of Fatima Sana

After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first, but the decision did not reap returns. PAK-W lost wickets at regular intervals and were reeling at 52/5. India had the chance to put further pressure on PAK as instantly the opportunity to take the 6th wicket emerged. However, Asha Sobhana couldn't hold on an easy take on the the delivery of Arundhati Reddy.

The dropped chance cost India 12 runs as Fatima Sana added those to the scoreboard before eventually holding out in the 14th over. What's ironic is that it was Asha Sobhana who picked her wicket. She sent Sana packing courtesy of a brilliant take from wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh.

Sana's wicket put Pakistan in all sorts of trouble. As per the latest update, Pakistan -W are 88/7. PAK skipper Nida Dar is still in the middle and is aiming to give her team a final flourish.
