Ind vs SA 3rd Test: Key moments from Day 4 morning session in Ranchi
India vs South Africa 3rd Test went underway last Saturday in Ranchi. Team India won the match by an innings and 202 runs to regain the Freedom Trophy.
Day 4 was a mere formality for the Indians to turn up for as the hosts needed two more wickets at the start of the day to wrap up a 3-0 series whitewash over the beleaguered South Africans. Overnight batsmen Theunis de Bruyn and Anrich Nortje resumed proceedings at 30* and 5* respectively at the score of 132-8 in the second innings. Two overs, one run and two wickets. It turned out that that's all India needed to win the match by a massive margin.

Key moments from Day 4 morning session
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who accounted for three South African wickets in the second innings yesterday, steamed into bowl the first over of the day. The Proteas batsmen could only add one run to their overnight score in a tight over bowled by the right-arm paceman.
To bowl the second over of the day, captain Kohli brought in debutant Shahbaz Nadeem. Nadeem was the only wicket-less Indian bowler in South Africa’s second innings yesterday. However, that fact changed when he accounted for the final two wickets in the second over of the day. He first induced an under-edge from Theunis de Bruyn to dismiss him for 30. Bruyn’s departure brought in number 11 batsman Lungi Ngidi to the crease. Nadeem then dismissed him for a first-ball duck to end the visitor’s innings at 133.
Team India, in their second successive innings victory, won the match and the series 3-0. With the win, Virat Kohli-led side also extended their winning streak at home to 11 series without a defeat. The World's No 1 Test side now stand at the top of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship standings with 240 points. The series win also meant that the Indian team regained the Freedom Trophy which they lost in South Africa last year 1-2.
