Team India sealed the Three-match Test series in style after beating South Africa by an innings and 137 runs in the 2nd Test played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Sunday. After posting a huge total of 600 plus runs in the 1st Innings, Indian bowlers did their job to perfection, bowling Proteas twice to wrap up the match and series in four days.
Apart from a dominating performance by India, the match will also be remembered for wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha's two outstanding catches, which helped India seal a 2-0 series win. Umesh Yadav has found it difficult to cement his place in the Indian side inspite of performing really well whenever he was a chance in the playing 11. In the second Test, he picked up six wickets and was the joint-highest wicket-taker across two innings along with Ravichandran Ashwin.
While speaking to the media after the match, the Vidarbha pacer said that there is a healthy competition in the side, and he knows that whenever a chance is given to play, he should grab it with both hands. Last year, when Umesh Yadav played in Hyderabad (2018 vs West Indies), he had taken 10 wickets in that match and this time too, the pacer came into the match with a good mindset and felt happy to have executed skills on the ground.

Saha had a wonderful match behind the stumps and his two catches were considered as the best in the match. After the match, the wicket-keeper said that the bowlers bowl at him during training which gives him good practice with the moving ball and credit fitness trainers for keeping him fit.
He said that trainers help out with stretches, ice-baths, and train him for the match-day really well giving the credit for his fitness as well as wicket-keeping performance.
