Virat Kohli Shuts Down Notorious Fan

Virat Kohli, who is known to give it back to his opponents on the field, had to endure non-sense from a fan this time. The episode occurred when Kohli was shadow batting inside the dressing facility at Colombo Cricket Ground. A fan got the sight of Kohli and began hurling "Chokli, Chokli" in front of him. Perturbed by the demeanor of the fan, Kohli replied "Not here."

The word "Chokli" was formed by netizens following India's defeat against New Zealand in the ODI World Cup 2019 semi-final, where Virat Kohli got out on 1. "Chokli" is a blend of "choking" and "Virat Kohli." The term often gets into the trending chart whenever Virat Kohli fails in any of the matches, be it at the international stage or in the IPL.

Virat Kohli is clutch from the outset.

Despite being teased by fans, it does not change the fact that Virat Kohli's numbers in the knockout games are exemplary. He played a crucial knock of 35 in the 2011 ODI World Cup final, which set up things for MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir's partnership. He scored a century in the semi-final against New Zealand in the ODI World Cup 2023, and in the following year in T20 World Cup 2024 final, he scored 76 and anchored India to the score of 175. These performances and his overall statistics also throw the non-meaningful term "chokli" out of the window.
