India's Batting Order For 1st BGT Test Accidentally Revealed In Viral Pic From Practice Session?
The first Test match between India and Australia is scheduled to take place at the Perth Stadium from November 22 onwards.
India vs Australia: The Indian cricket team's batting order for the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia may have been accidentally revealed in a viral photo from a practice session in Perth. The photo shows Virat Kohli , KL Rahul , Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Devdutt Padikkal in the slip cordon, with Dhruv Jurel positioned in the gully. This very well suggests that Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel may replace the injured Shubman Gill and unavailable captain Rohit Sharma in the playing XI contrary to the media reports that pushed Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhimanyu Easwaran's names.
Team India's batting order revealed?
Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel have impressed in recent unofficial Test games against Australia A and appear poised to step up in Perth for the first Test match. KL Rahul, who opened in a recent simulated game and has experience in Australian conditions, is also a key option. He will most likely open the batting in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Dhruv Jurel has been particularly impressive, scoring two half-centuries against Australia A, and will play as a specialist batter with Rishabh Pant taking the gloves.
While there is still uncertainty regarding Rohit Sharma's availability for the first Test due to personal reasons, and Shubman Gill's absence because of an injury, the team management appears to have settled on Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel as replacements. This presents a golden opportunity for both players to make their mark in the high-pressure series opener. However, the team's official batting order has not been confirmed yet, and fans will have to wait for the official announcement.
