India's Predicted Playing XI For 1st Test at Perth vs Australia Without Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill

In what would be termed as a major setback for India, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are set to miss the 1st Test versus Australia at Perth. So, with Rohit and Gill set to miss the BGT opener, - who will replace them in the playing XI? Now, this is the question. India play a five-match Test series versus Australia which will also be part of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle. The first of the five Tests takes place at the iconic Perth on November 22.

Rohit Sharma Replacement: One reckons KL Rahul , Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhimanyu Easwaran are in line to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the absence of Rohit. Most reckon, given the experience of playing Tests in Australia, Rahul is best placed to open with Jaiswal. 

Shubman Gill Replacement: The young Indian batter picked up an injury that has forced him to sit out of the first Test at Perth. Like Easwaran could be an opening option and also an option at No. 3. Along with Easwaran, Devdutt Padikkal would also be in line for a No. 3 spot in the absence of Gill.
