India vs Sri Lanka or India vs Pakistan in the Asia Cup final? Ashwin makes a clear choice

Team India won their match against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four to proceed to the final, which could possibly be against either Sri Lanka or Pakistan. In their last match, India chose to bat after winning the toss. Despite being completely bowled out in 49.1 overs, they did not bat well, scoring only 213 runs. The important bowling performance by India during Sri Lanka's innings, however, stopped them from successfully chasing the target. India won by a score of 41 runs and beat both Sri Lanka and Pakistan in their last Super Four matches.

R Ashwin makes a huge statement about the Asia Cup final 2023 

R. Ashwin followed by talking about Team India's chances in the Asia Cup 2023 after they recently defeated Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super Four. Team India will end the second last stage of their preparations for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 which starts in a few weeks' time. India will host the prestigious tournament and talking about the following, R Ashwin went to talk about which team he would like to see the upcoming Asia Cup final, whether ‘India vs Pakistan’ or ‘India vs Sri Lanka’.  On his YouTube channel, he said: 

Sri Lanka at the World Cup? And whether we will see an India - Pakistan final or an India - Sri Lanka final? I feel Sri Lanka has got it in them to beat this Pakistan side. I don't know how Pakistan is going to comeback from such a huge defeat. I personally want an India - Pakistan final. The last India - Pakistan game was one-sided. I want to see a close game.

I want an India - Pakistan final and a close contest. I want a nail-biting finish. You want the game to have a last-ball finish. But you want India to win it, right? If we lose, you will have a go at them, won't you? I want a last-ball finish and I want India to win. I want Virat Kohli to hit the winning runs.

It will be really good if we have an India - Pakistan final.

What is next for Team India?

Team India will face the already-eliminated Bangladesh on September 15, 2023.  This will end their Super Four of the Asia Cup 2023, and the other finalists will be decided between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on Thursday, September 14, 2023. The final will be played on September 17, 2023, at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
