IPL 2020: Siddhesh Lad traded by Mumbai Indians to KKR in latest deal
KKR roped in batsman Siddhesh Lad in its latest trade with MI. Lad has played only 1 IPL game (against KXIP in 2019) and 38 T20 matches in his career so far.
Mumbai cricketer Siddhesh Lad on Friday was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders in a successful trade with the Mumbai Indians. Lad joined the Mumbai Indians set-up in 2015 and has played only one game in the Indian Premier League so far. He played his first IPL game against Kings XI Punjab in the 2019 edition when skipper Rohit Sharma was sidelined due to injury. The 27-year-old will now turn up for two-time IPL winners KKR in the upcoming season.

The right-handed batsman has played 38 T20 matches in his career and has scored 628 runs at an average of 25.12. In his only IPL game, Lad scored 15 runs from 13 balls, which included a six off the first ball of his innings. In spite of boasting impressive averages of 43.23 and 43.15 in List A and first-class cricket respectively, Siddhesh Lad is known for scoring quick and handy runs in the middle-order. His highest score of 82 in the shortest format came against Baroda in the 2017-18 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
With 652 runs in seven matches, Lad was the highest run-scorer of the 2017-18 Ranji season. After releasing him for the Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians took to Twitter to thank the cricketer for his time with the franchise. In the tweet, the four-time IPL winning team also wished him good luck for his future endeavours.
