The time is closing in for all the IPL franchises to hand in their list of retained players as the 05:00 PM IST deadline closes in. It is a race against time, and the fans' anticipation is at an all-time high. As the rumours and speculations rile up, one-time IPL champion, the Sunrisers Hyderabad , has seemingly finalized their retention list after the two final players have been named. Two of the team's big hitters have found the spot in the list of retentions ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Select Two More Capped Players, Finalize Retention List Before IPL Mega Auction  

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have reportedly finalized their retained players for the upcoming IPL Mega Auction, which takes place ahead of the IPL 2025 season. SRH has already revealed that they have picked three superstar cricketers on the list of retention, and they have picked Heinrich Klassen, Pat Cummins and Abhishek Sharma, and they have retained them for ₹23 crore, ₹18 crore and ₹14 crore, respectively. Before the 5 PM deadline, two additional players have been reportedly named on SRH's IPL 2025 Retention List.

As per reports from ESPNcricinfo, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be retaining Australia opener Travis Head and Team India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy as the final two capped players in the IPL 2025 Retention list. Head will be retained for ₹14 crore, while Reddy has been picked for a ₹6 crore price tag. SRH has now finalized their list of retained players who are capped, and they have maintained their dominant core side before they head into the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

SRH now have an RTM (right-to-match) card, which will allow them to retain one of their uncapped players during the mega auction. After all the retentions, they now have ₹75 crore shelled out of their total purse of ₹120 crore.

The Pat Cummins-led side started the IPL 2024 season with a bang and emerged as one of the most dominant sides in the tournament. They went on to reach the IPL Final before being humbled by the Kolkata Knight Riders , who became the IPL Champions. They would aim to re-assert their dominance in the season.
