The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have secured one of their biggest wins ever in the IPL. The Rajat Patidar-led side has successfully breached the Chepauk fortress after defeating the Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs. Chennai failed to counter Bengaluru's effectiveness with the ball, as the batters went on to crumble and fell short of the target. Updated IPL 2025 Standings After RCB vs CSK Clash

After the Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Chennai Super Kings match-up, there Rajat Patidar-led side continues to hold on to the number one spot and picked up four points in the game. They also have an enhanced NRR of +2.266. Lucknow Super Giants are at number two, with two points and an NRR of +0.963, while Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and the Sunrusers Hyderabad are at the 3rd, 4th and 5th spot, respectively.

Chennai Super Kings have slipped to the seventh spot and have an NRR of -1.013. Kolkata Knight Riders are one spot above them at sixth, while the Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals are at the number ten spot.

RCB Stand Tall Over CSK, Rajat Patidar Becomes 2nd Skipper To Breach Chepauk Fortress

The Chennai Super Kings suffered heavily against RCB's bowling efficiency, with top-order star Rahul Tripathi dismissed for five runs and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad dismissed for a four-ball duck. The middle order was also unlucky, as Deepak Hooda and Sam Curran were both dismissed early in the competition. Shivam Dube, an impact substitute, batted for 19 runs off 15 balls before being bowled out by Yash Dayal. R Ashwin also fell after scoring only 11 runs, prompting MS Dhoni into action. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja finished with 25 runs, and Dhoni hit two consecutive sixes and fours before the match ended.

Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave RCB a thrilling start, with the England batsman hitting big shots on the power play and scoring 32 runs off 16 deliveries. Kohli contributed with a 30-ball 31 before being dismissed by Noor Ahmad. Devdutt Padikkal arrived to make an impact but was let go at the age of 27. Skipper Rajat Patidar rose to the occasion, scoring 51 runs to increase the team's total. Tim David's cameo alarmed CSK fans after he hit three maximums and fours. Bengaluru simply outperformed Chennai in the match tonight.
