IPL Teams Were DESPERATE To Land Rahul Dravid's Signature, Mind Boggling Financial Offer Revealed

Rahul Dravid has marked a sensational return to IPL coaching as he's returned to the Rajasthan Royals on a multiyear contract starting from IPL 2025 season. Rahul Dravid will be forming an integral part of the Rajasthan Royals think tank ahead of the upcoming IPL retentions and mega auction. 

Rahul Dravid enjoys a stellar record as a coach with the icing on the cake coming when he led India the holy grail of winning of the World Cup. Given his success with the Indian Cricket Team, reports have suggested that multiple IPL franchises were desperate to land the World Cup winning coach. 

IPL franchises were desperate to land Rahul Dravid

Before joining Rajasthan Royals and their coaching set up once again, Rahul Dravid received multiple offers from other IPL franchises to become their new head coach. 

Owners of other IPL franchises were so desperate to rope in Rahul Dravid that they even offered the Wall a blank cheque to join their franchises according to a report by Cricbuzz. 

However, Rahul Dravid was left unfazed by the lucrative financial offers in front of him as he decided to opt for loyalty instead and chose to rejoin the Royals family.

Rahul Dravid reacts to rejoining Royals family 

Rahul Dravid was part of the Rajasthan Royals as a player for three seasons from 2011 to 2013 and then as a mentor for the 2014 and 2015 season. Since then Dravid has been through the Indian coaching set up leading the Under-19 set up before taking over as senior men's Indian Cricket Team head coach. 

“After the World Cup, I feel it's the ideal time for me to take on another challenge, and the Royals is the perfect place to do that," revealed Rahul Dravid on his return to RR.

Rahul Dravid in his tenure as the head coach of men in blue led them to the finals of ODI World Cup and World Test Championship before finally winning an ICC Trophy with the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.
