MS Dhoni stuns the opposition once again and proved that age is just a number. The 43-year-old defies the age factors and showcases why he is one of the finest wicketkeeper-batters to grace the sport. The former Team India and Chennai Super Kings skipper dismissed the electrifying Phil Salt from the competition after a successful stumping attempt. His quick reflexes did the job with ease as he curtailed the RCB batter's innings, who looked in peak form and were on a destructive spree against the hosts in the IPL 2025 league stage clash.

MS Dhoni Outshines Phil Salt With Lightning-Quick Stumping

The moment happened during the final delivery of the fourth over when Noor Ahmad delivered a length ball which angled away outside off. Salt attempted for a drive, but it made no connection and went straight behind. MS Dhoni pulled off a miraculous stumping attempt as he collected the ball and smacked it into the stumps. Dhoni and his insane reflexes may have allowed him to pull off the attempt in less than 0.10 seconds or less.

Phil Salt looked in good form as he scored 32 off 16 deliveries, but the lightning-fast stumping put an end to his innings.

After a confident MS Dhoni made the appeal, the umpire went upstairs, and the replay displayed that Salt's toe was not grounded. After the LED display flashed that the England batter was dismissed, the sea of yellow erupted in glee as MSD continued to impress with his spectacular efforts.

Dhoni Displayed His Flair In the Previous Game

This is not the first time that Dhoni made waves with his stumping, as he took out Mumbai Indians skipper Suryakumar Yadav in a similar fashion. SKY was settling himself in the game and had scored 29 off 26 deliveries. Interestingly, Noor Ahmad was the man who bowled the delivery which led to the India T20I skipper losing his wicket.

Dhoni's reaction time of grabbing the ball and dislodging the bails has been insane, and he has outshined other active wicketkeepers in the game.
