Veteran wicketkeeper and former India captain MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the best leaders in the history of international cricket. MSD is the only Indian captain to win three ICC trophies, and on top of that, he was also a brilliant finisher. Adding more to his qualities, Dhoni's speed and agility with the gloves behind the stumps was absolutely commendable. The 42-year-old wicket-keeper batsman has also won five IPL trophies while leading Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, which makes him the joint most successful captain along with Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma.

3 things you need to know

  • MS Dhoni is only seen playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League
  • MSD played his last international match for India in the IND vs NZ 2019 World Cup semi-final

Currently, Ashwin is a part of Rajasthan Royals and will be playing for the franchise in IPL 2024.

R Ashwin, who is also seen doing cricket analysis these days on his YouTube channel, blasted out on an ‘X’ user who made a fake claim quoting R Ashwin that Sanju Samson was approached as the captain of CSK, but it was rejected by Samson. The post read:

Ashwin plays under Sanju for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. The veteran Indian spinner was not happy with such fake claims which were made using his name. Blasing at the user Ashwin replied to his tweet:
