AB de Villiers makes a massive comment on Pat Cummins' IPL future
Following Australia's recent ICC ODI World Cup triumph, Aussie players are expected to be in demand in the auction. The likes of Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc are likely to fetch big money as they are one of the lethal frontline pacers who enlisted their names for the auction.
Chennai Super Kings lifted their firth title last season under the guidance of MS Dhoni. CSK released some of their players as they are eyeing some fresh players in order to defend their title. Cummins has been linked with a move to the current IPL holders but AB de Villiers provided his take on Cummins' next IPL team.
The former South African skipper believes Cummins might not be an ideal fit for Dhoni's team as he is not the right kind of T20 bowler. On his YouTube channel De Villiers said, “I don’t see Pat Cummins going to CSK. He has been a bit expensive over the past few years so I don’t see T20 as his strongest suit. He is more of an ODI or a Test bowler. But anything can happen in the auction.
“They (CSK) are fairly good in the spin department and I feel they will need a pacer. You will see these guys feature at the backend of the tournament. They always seem to find a way."
