IPL 2024: Full list of players retained and released by Rajasthan Royals

The IPL 2024 season has all the hype now, as the player retention period is officially over. The Teams now have to present the list of the ones they have retained and the ones they have released. With the period now over, the teams have made their decision on whom to keep and whom to let go. Several teams have shared their decisions, and Rajasthan Royals have also made the tough call and released the list of players.

The Retained and Released players of Rajasthan Royals

This year, the Rajasthan Royals have released nine players, including Joe Root, as the English batsman has chosen not to compete in the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League. Unlike earlier rumours, Adam Zampa and Trent Boult have been kept on in the franchise and will stay in the team this year. 

The other players that the Royals has released are Jason Holder, Abdul Basith, Akash Vashisht, Kuldip Yadav, M Ashwin, KC Cariappa, and KM Asif.

Royals were able to retain their core team with the likes of Sanju Samson, R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Buttler, Hetmyer and more.
