The Royal Challengers Bengaluru has finally found their winning ways back in the IPL 2024 season after they were able to tame the Juggernauts, the SunRisers Hyderabad. The Pat Cummins-led side fell short of reaching a 200+ target, something they have been doing with ease lately. But the franchise's mighty batting arsenal faltered to an underperforming team in RCB. They could not make use of their aggressive stance on the batting side as they could not reach the target. But the team is still upbeat, as the SunRisers skipper believes in his squad and said that he believes they will bounce back into their form.

Pat Cummins unbothered over SRH's loss, backs their attacking approach in matches

In a surprising turn of events, the Pat Cummins-led side failed to secure a win over the faltering Royal Challengers Bengaluru. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the visiting team put up a 206-run target, but due to the likes of the bowlers, the SunRisers were limited to 171 runs, facing a 35-run deficit loss while at home. Bengaluru handed SRH their first home loss, but the team's spirits were not let down, as skipper Pat Cummins backed their high-risk attacking approach, which paid off well in their past matches. 

Pat Cummins told the broadcasters that SRH won't focus too much on Thursday's defeat and will instead look forward to a rematch.

"I think it's our strong suit. It's not going to work every game. In one or two games where it hasn't gone our way at the start, we still managed to get a good total. Still think this is the way forward for our boys," Pat Cummins said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

With only their second victory of the tournament, RCB has snapped a six-match losing run that lasted more than a month. In contrast, SRH, who had 10 points from 8 games, managed to hold onto third place in the IPL 2024 points standings despite the loss.

For RCB, it was a morale-building moment as they were able to snap their losing streak. They intend to keep it running when they would face the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans next. For the Sunrisers, it will be a Southern Derby, as they will face the Chennai Super Kings in an away match.
