Harbhajan Singh, a former Mumbai Indians (MI) player, believes the team will keep Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya.

According to recent rumours, Rohit Sharma might also be kept on. MI's choice may be influenced by his T20 World Cup success. Tilak Varma and other up-and-coming talent might also be given preference.

For the 2025 Indian Premier League, the franchise's auction proceeds have been set at Rs 120 crore. Match fees, incremental performance pay, and the auction purse will now make up the entire salary cap.

Mumbai Indians management need to make their uncapped pick sensibly, but there is a chance that they could pick up Nehal Wadhera as the uncapped player.  

The IPL franchise is free to select their own combination for RTMs and retentions. A maximum of two uncapped players and five capped players (from India and overseas) may be included in the six retentions/RTMs.

Six players in all may be kept by the IPL team from their current roster. Either retention or the Right To Match (RTM) option may be used to achieve this.

To keep their star team of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Suryakumar Yadav, the Mumbai Indians will need to spend more than half of their Rs 120 crore available budget.

Hardik Pandya looks like a sure-shot possibility, while they would also be eager to hold on to Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah. Even Tilak Varma could be in the list of MI. 

Since assuming the captaincy, Hardik Pandya is probably going to be kept on, possibly earning INR 16–17 crores. Another important player, Suryakumar Yadav, may see an increase in pay from INR 8 crore to INR 11 crore.
