'It is what it is': Sanju Samson finally breaks silence on repeated snubs from Indian team

Team India are slated to play a three-match ODI series against Australia, starting September 22. The matches will be played in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced squads for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar held a press conference to unveil the squads. Two different squads have been announced for the series as some of the key players who are also part of the World Cup team have been rested for the first two games. One of the notable names missing from both squads is Sanju Samson, who has faced constant snubs from Team India over the past several years.

  • He was part of the reserve list for the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2023
  • Samson has not received regular chances to play for India like some of the other players

Sanju Samson breaks silence on India's snub

Sanju Samson has finally opened up on his non-inclusion in the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI series against Australia. Samson took to his official Instagram handle to share a post, where he wrote, "It is what it is !! I choose to keep moving forward." Samson shared the post with a picture of him playing in the Indian jersey. The post has garnered tens of thousands of likes since being uploaded a few minutes ago.

India's squads for ODI series against Australia

India are slated to play a three-match ODI series against Australia, starting September 22. The matches will be played in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot. The series will serve as a rehearsal for both sides before the highly-anticipated ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be held in India from October 5 to November 19.
