'It was nice': Touched by Litton Das' gesture, Ish Sodhi shares words of gratitude
Bangladesh skipper Litton Das received a lot of praise from Kiwi spinner Ish Sodhi after his 'spirit of cricket' gesture during BAN vs NZ 2nd ODI match.

Bangladesh cricket team skipper Litton Das withdrew the 'mankad' appeal for New Zealand batter Ish Sodhi and showed a real example of sportsman spirit. 'Mankading' which is legal as per the rules is often considered against the spirit of cricket by some cricketers and fans. After Bangladesh withdrew their 'mankad' appeal against Sodhi, the Kiwi spinner came up to hug Bangladeshi pacer Hasan Mahmud.

Ish Sodhi praises Bangladesh captain for his 'spirit of cricket' gesture
New Zealand cricket team spinner Ish Sodhi was impressed with Bangladesh's captain Litton Das' gesture he showed after withdrawing the 'mankad' appeal during the second ODI match. Sodhi praised Das' sportsman spirit and said in the post-match press conference:
I am not a very good batter. It was a nice gesture. I would do the same thing as a bowler. I have played under some great captains for New Zealand in the past few years. I think they would have done the same thing. I think Litton Das was exceptional in the way he handled it. I hugged the bowler and gave Litton a bit of a handshake. We all respect the game of cricket very highly and really endevour to keep the spirit intact.
Ish Sodhi stars in New Zealand's win in the second BAN vs NZ ODI match
New Zealand cricket team leg spinner Ish Sodhi scored 35 runs in the BAN vs NZ second ODI match and took the team to a fighting total of 256 runs. Sodhi also picked up a six-wicket haul with the ball and helped the team win the match by 86 runs. Sodhi was adjudged the Player of the Match for his all-round performance. The Kiwis will get a big boost if they are able to win the ODI series against Bangladesh ahead of the World Cup all set to begin from October 5.
